Kickball tournament helps local children with special needs to acquire alternative treatments and therapies not covered by insurance. Kick For A Cause began in 2021 to help support local children with special needs to acquire alternative treatments and therapies not covered by insurance. Often times these medical costs are lifelong expenses that the families just cannot endure. Alternative therapies change the lives of kids with disabilities forever. Kick For A Cause was inspired by Dodge For A Cause which also raises money for kids in our community that could use a helping financial hand. Kick For A Cause is organized by Stephanie Weiss, Jesse Weiss & Donald Abbott. Jesse and Stephanie have twin boys named Cody and Cameron. Cameron had a stroke when he was in the womb and has cerebral palsy. Jesse and Stephanie have participated in Dodge For A Cause in prior years and invited Donald to be on the team as well. Cameron is the reason we got involved with Dodge For A Cause and is the reason we decided to do Kick For A Cause to help kids in our community that could use a helping hand now more than ever.
There will only be 24 teams participating due to time restraints. If you have anyone in mind that would be interested in playing or sponsoring feel free to pass it on to them as well. Call Stephanie Weiss at 775.379.8869 or KickForACauseNV@gmail.com with any questions.

main event. This sacred experience, facilitated by graduated Sky Spirit Shamans and other community practitioners, uses the power of sound frequencies to restore harmony, clear energetic blockages, and create a deep sense of balance and relaxation. Sound baths involve the use of instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant tools, which work together to create vibrations that promote tranquility, reduce stress, and encourage sacred reciprocity with the vibrations of the earth and universe. These frequencies are thought to stimulate the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, supporting a state of relaxation and renewal, while restoring balance to the body, mind, and spirit. In addition to the sound bath, hands-on Reiki will be offered, allowing practitioners to channel energy in a way that fosters balance, harmony, and sacred reciprocity. This will deepen the experience, helping you connect with the energy of both giving and receiving. This sound bath is part of a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to support Denise Sheehan’s pilgrimage to Peru, where she will deepen her spiritual journey and teachings. To fully embrace this experience, please bring your own comfort items, such as a mat, pillow, blanket, and anything else that will help you relax and connect more deeply with the energy of the event. Spaces are limited, so secure your ticket today to be part of this special opportunity to align with the vibrations of harmony and sacred reciprocity, while supporting a meaningful cause.
lesses, the community has spoken loud and clear – they prefer fireworks. So let’s give the people what they want! However, we need your help to raise money to Bring Back the Boom. The Tahoe City Downtown Association needs to raise $77,000 to pay for the fireworks, which is a perfect number to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Tahoe City’s Fourth of July fireworks.
The North Tahoe Community Alliance has approved $37,500 in funding for the BMPs (mitigation efforts), as well as family-friendly activities and entertainment on the Fourth. One reason for switching to drones was for environmental reasons, but a Lahontan Water Quality Control Board and Desert Research Institute study found there was no indication of significant water quality impacts or the need to continue monitoring.Donate through our GoFundMe campaign.
