The fall gala season for A.V.A. Ballet Theatre opens with the classic ballet The Little Mermaid on September 20th and 21st at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Choreographed by Alexander Van Alstyne, The Little Mermaid is the captivating story of the beautiful mermaid and her dreams of becoming a human. A dashing prince, a sea witch, crabs, and jovial eels have starring roles in this fantasy adventure.
This classic story is filled with mesmerizing dance, intrigue, and is fun for the entire family. The Reno Phil with Laura Jackson as the conductor will perform the exciting score.
