Derrick Julian is a Midwest-born singer-songwriter that offers a folk-rock vibe with a healthy mix of influences from across the spectrum. Raised in classic rock and captivated by the early 2000s alt scene, Derrick’s music has matured into an alt-folk/Americana hybrid that would be honored by the likeness of artists such as Lucero, Noah Kahan, Tyler Childers, and many more.
Alese is a singer-songwriter who was raised on a diet of 90’s alternative music and the masterful story-telling of songbirds like Jewel and Sarah McLachlan. She has been singing since she can remember and writing songs for the past 15 years, alchemizing the heartbreak of her life into healing melodies of light. One message resounds to the hurting and the broken: keep going and you’ll find joy. When she’s not doing something around music, she’s likely hanging with her dog Darla, organizing all the things, or plotting her next adventure.
Transplanted from England, Sue has found a musical home and heart right here in Reno. Inspired by all the incredible musicians she has met, Sue is busy writing songs, and performing them wherever and whenever she gets the chance!
Doug Widmark is a retired English teacher who uses his time now to write, create and fix things that are broken. His tastes lean toward what is timeless. His goal is to be good enough to barter should civilization collapse. He tries to write his mind in a way that has not been said before but already felt. Doug plays folk music until someone orchestrates it into something more grandiose, and he says you could call him Jimmy Buffet’s recalcitrant brother!
