Tempest Irish Band LIVE at RPM. Reno Public Market is excited to announce the SF Bay Area's Tempest performing LIVE at RPM!Since 1988, Tempest has been blending high-energy Folk Rock with Irish, Scottish, and Norwegian influences, earning worldwide acclaim. The San Francisco Bay Area-based band has released 18 albums and played over 2,500 gigs.Led by Oslo's Lief Sorbye, the band's current line-up features all original members, including Bay Area guitarist Rob Wullenjohn, San Diego's Ian Butler on bass, Vermont fiddler Jon Berger, and Cuban-born drummer Adolfo Lazo, who has never missed a show in over 30 years.Known for their electrifying performances, Tempest is a staple at prestigious festivals like The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Skagen Festival, and Cropredy Festival. Their latest album, Going Home, continues their legacy of innovative folk-rock.

 Mount Rose Ski Tahoe at 22222 Mount Rose Highway, way up above Reno, Nevada. The RR200 is a non-competitive event and no timing and scoring will be used.
If you are a dual sport rider who likes plenty of climbs and descents, long high-speed sand tracks, rocky jeep roads and high-altitude forest trails this ride is for you. The route will pass Lake Tahoe and go through Genoa (the first settlement in the Nevada Territory), the Pine Nut Mountains, the Pony Express Trail and historic Virginia City. Expect to see fall colors and epic views.
The RR200 will use trails in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management. Use of USFS-approved spark arrestors is required for all motorcycles. The RR200 also uses public roads and highways so all motorcycles must be plated. There will be a tech inspection at rider check-in.
Two route options will be offered:

The 'A' route. 200 miles and over 27,000' of climbing. This route has some harder sections and is recommended for more experienced riders. An adventure bike is not a good choice for this route, although an expert rider could do it on an adventure bike. We recommend that you bring your dual sport if you're planning to do the 'A' route, however.
The 'B' route. 136 miles and over 18,000' of climbing. This route is recommended for less experienced riders and is adventure bike capable.

RR200 entrants will be provided route maps for both the 'A' and 'B' routes in GPX and KML formats. No Jart charts or paper maps will be provided so you will need your own GPS on your bike. The Dust Devils MC will provide sweep riders and limited recovery support but all riders are expected to be able to self-navigate and to handle minor trail-side repairs such as a flat tire.
Entrants can pick up their t-shirts on the morning of the event at rider check-in.

About The Band...
A classic rock band… They are pros and have many years of experience touring and playing…Greg Golden lead guitar/vocals, Joe Retta vocals, Jeff Montgomery guitar/vocals, David Strelz bass, vocals and Boris Tavcar drums. Greg Golden is the owner and founder of Bizarre Guitar in Reno, NV.
We are proud to be a part of Frank Hannon’s record label “RedHawk Records”. Earlier this year they released an album produced by Frank Hannon of TESLA. One of the songs off the album was recently voted as a top 20 new release by U.S. bands by Galaxia Radio in Europe for 2015. The band has another song that has accrued over 3.6 Million views on YouTube. The second album “Storytellers, Vol. 1” is available now.
In the Feb 2017 issue of Easy Rider’s Magazine, the Greg Golden Band was listed with photos and story from the Red Wood Run played in the summer of 2016 backing up Jack Russel’s Great White. They also backed up 38 Special at the Highway 101 biker run in Trinidad Ca. The band also played for the Forte awards in Reno at the Grand Sierra main stage, which is the world’s largest indoor stage in Nov 2016. January 14, 2017 marks the release of their EP album.
