Brian Mann is a music scholar and jazz pianist who earned his Ph.D. in historical musicology and taught for many years at Vassar College, focusing especially on Renaissance/Baroque vocal music and Western music history. He has also performed jazz concerts and maintained an active interest in both academic and performance spheres of music.
Mark Sexton is a soul- and funk-driven singer, guitarist, and bandleader (notably of The Sextones) whose music blends classic R&B grooves with warm vocals and organic instrumentation. On top of his singer-songwriter role, he works as a DJ and producer, curating records and shows — hence his self-described role as “Party Conductor.”
