Kowta—real name Ben Kowta—is a Northern California–born bass music producer known for his signature West Coast sub‑thumping sound that blends dubstep, reggae, trap, glitch, and experimental influences. He made his debut in 2017 with the High Grade EP on Sleeveless Records and has since released standout projects like the MONSTA EP and the emotionally charged The Lost Archives, which he framed as a creative rebirth born from a data‑loss mishap.
