Learn the basics of black-and-white darkroom printing with Dean Burton. In this workshop participants will learn how to operate an enlarger to create a properly exposed print from black and white negatives. Bring your own B&W negatives to print from or use negatives from our vintage collection at Holland. We’ll provide the photo paper and all the chemistry for developing, and everyone will leave with at least one good print by the end of the workshop. All experience levels welcome and participants will also receive a free voucher to come back and use the Community Darkroom during open lab hours.
This workshop is part of the Holland Project Community Darkroom Pop-up taking place inside of Laika Press at 136 Vesta St, Reno, NV (located next door to Holland). Interested in getting into darkroom photography and using the HP DIY Darkroom after the Community Darkroom closes? This a great crash course to get you started!
