Katchafire is an all‑Māori roots reggae band from Hamilton (Kirikiriroa), New Zealand, formed in 1997 originally as a Bob Marley tribute ensemble before evolving into a celebrated original act. Founded by lead guitarist Grenville Bell alongside his sons Logan (vocals) and Jordan (drums), the group has since grown into an eight‑piece collective known for combining classic roots reggae with R&B, funk, dancehall, and pop, and boasts platinum sales, hit singles, and global tours.

Kaʻikena Scanlan is a Hawaiian reggae singer, linguist, ethnobotanist, and farmer. He is known for his music, which often incorporates Hawaiian language and culture, and for his work teaching Hawaiian language and ethnobotany at the University of HawaiÊ»i at Hilo.
