Singer-songwriter Mari Stoner comes to Reno with a musical background spanning the genres from opera to rock and everything in between. Her musical journey took her to New York City to pursue a career as an operatic and classical musician where she discovered the freedom of expression that writing your own music can provide. Her music features lyrical lines and a vocally-driven sound influenced by artists such as Grace Potter, Lera Lynn, and Brandi Carlile. She is based in Reno where she enjoys spending time outside with her pup and performing with her band, Hail Mari.
Monique Jade is a singer-songwriter returning to the Northern Nevada music scene after a long hiatus. Winning the first ever Forte Award for Best Female Vocalist, she’s fronted several local bands including The Derailment, All About Me and LovePop. Her songwriting consists of strong melodies and catchy hooks with influences ranging from Sheryl Crow to Merle Haggard.
