On Saturday, March 21st, the Dead Kampers come crashing ashore at Pele Utu like a busted longboard in a storm swell. Surf, punk, garage rock, and just enough bad influence to make your mother nervous—served loud, fast, and unapologetic.
These lads don’t play background music. They play soundtrack-to-a-bad-decision music. Reverb-drenched guitars, pounding drums, and a rhythm section that sounds like it learned manners nowhere near a finishing school. Think sunburn, cheap beer, busted amps, and waves that don’t care if you can swim.

Equipment is a Toledo-area emo/indie rock band crafting emotive, energetic songs rooted in DIY ethos and clever lyrical twists, recently releasing the surprise EP First Time Using Slang. Their sound balances introspective themes with punchy melodies, building buzz in the emo scene through engaging releases and active touring.
Arcadia Grey is a Chicago-based queer punk band known for turning DIY nostalgia, messy relationships, and personal growth into pure, feel-good chaos. Their music blends danceable anthems with emotionally heavy themes, making shows a cathartic, joy-filled experience for anyone ready to lose themselves.
Pretty Bitter are D.C. DIY staples who fuse emo heartbreak with glossy pop-rock, disco, and synth elements that make sad songs danceable. Led by Mel Bleker, the band’s lush, dramatic sound and emotionally raw songwriting position them as one of the most exciting acts in the modern DIY scene.

We’ll explore and create a variety of art projects each morning with different local artists, then our friends from The Glass Die will join us to play board games in the afternoons. Full-day or half-day camp options are available and game camp participants may choose the option to play a variety of mixed board games each day or can spend the week playing Dungeons & Dragons (no prior experience needed for D&D). Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided and full-day campers will need to bring a lunch each day.

As early reviews drew comparisons to My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Spacemen 3, Yo La Tengo, and Sonic Youth, the band developed a must-see reputation within the underground psych and shoegaze scene.
LSD’s self-titled debut EP (Mind Expansion Records, 2007) sold out prior to its official release date. It continues to earn critical acclaim and frequently appear on shoegaze “Best Of” lists. It was twice reissued on vinyl (Deep Space Recordings, 2008, 2015), twice on cassette (Cellar Door Tapes, 2015), and tracks were featured on three compilations: Mind Expansion Vol. 1, M.E. Vol. 2, and Australian nugazer compilation Take Me on the Wildest Spree (Rubber Records/EMI, 2008).
LSD’s second release, Heaven Is a Place (Space Age Recordings, 2016), captures a snapshot in time soon after Ricky Maymi (Brian Jonestown Massacre) temporarily joined the band on drums. Like the self-titled EP, Heaven garnered critical acclaim and frequented many Best Of lists. Pop Matters calls it, “a long-awaited sermon for the faithful and a blazing induction for new converts,” while Primal Music says it’s “another astonishing collection of five psychedelic stories glistening with the same spaced out ingredients that blew my mind way back in 2007.”
