lessHeavy Metal TRL and KWNK Presents: Heavy Metal Parking Lot 3: VorlustHere comes another wild one! This September 20th, it’s time to get a little bit witchy… Mabon— the witches’ equinox. The balance struck between the darkness and the light of day. Forces at work. Powerful ones; rituals of gratitude and celebration of the harvest. The changing of seasons and the gradual turn inward towards introspection and fall and winter. Time to party; time for heavy fucking metal!!! Live from the parking lot series continues as we welcome six more exciting bands. The cream of the West Coast DIY scene will descend upon Reno and bless you with an afternoon of pure ecstatic revelry. With sets from Reno’s swirling and meditative grey-metal Eleusis, the simultaneously cosmic and oceanic wizard-journey of BeachMaster, San Francisco’s Disastroid and their high desert-approved stoner-grunge VIBES, LA death/thrash veterans Scrap Metal, the haunting and heavy and sexy doom of SF’s Brume, and finally an onslaught of ferocity from Oakland’s beast metal RIPPERS Vorlust! Once again, Kirk will be cranking out the BBQ, KWNK DJ Faster Than You on the decks offering a clinic in good taste, local makers and vendors on hand to style out your ‘fit. The drinks will be cold, the vibes immaculate… all you gotta do is show up ready to ROCK! And speaking of showing up, the first 50 people paid in the ‘door’ this time will receive a special edition black light show poster from the legendary Richie Goodtimes! (More available for sale at the show!)End the summer in the best possible way. We’re going out hard this year!2-9pm, $25, 21+
