The English Beat is a legendary English band (often called The Beat in the UK) celebrated for their energetic fusion of ska, new wave, reggae, and punk that helped define the British Two-Tone movement beginning in the late 1970s. Led by vocalist and guitarist Dave Wakeling, they’re known for timeless hits like “Mirror in the Bathroom” and “Save It for Later,” and continue to bring high-energy performances to venues like Cargo Concert Hall with their upbeat, dance-driven sound.
