The Third Mind is a Los Angeles–based psychedelic supergroup formed around improvisation and spontaneous collaboration, drawing inspiration from the electric-era explorations of Miles Davis. Featuring members such as Dave Alvin, Victor Krummenacher, Jesse Sykes, Michael Jerome, and Mark Karan, the band blends rock, folk, blues, and psychedelia into expansive, free-flowing performances. Their name comes from the William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin concept of a shared creative consciousness emerging through collaboration.
