It's been a wild ride. The Slap Frost Tour was conceived by 3 friends in a garage in Richmond, California in 2014. Originally the goal was to get out of the greater San Francisco Bay Area to share the collective talents of a battle tested, veteran DJ, a reformed wordsmith and an exceptional entertainer. After the inaugural 12 city run throughout 7 states, True Justice, Vocab Slick and Z-Man realized this independent "rap vacation" could be a platform not only for established acts but for up and coming talent who have never been on tour before. In the subsequent years the Slap Frost Tour has traveled to 110 cities and 45 states producing a decade of incredible performances.2025 brings us the 10th and Final Slap Frost Tour

part as he continues to establish a notable sound worth remembering. Taking the usual wistful, dreamy components of DIY indie-rock a step further into post-punk territory with heightened energy and rough, low vocals thrown on top merges 60 juno into a lane of his own making. The independent musician is the sole driving force behind the bass, drums, guitar and vocals that seamlessly translate heavy nostalgia into deep, dreamy melodies.

ed compositions [with] the patina of authenticityโ (Rolling Stone). On her new album,ย Every Ghost, she confronts addiction, grief, generational trauma, and even herself โ and comes through it stronger and at peace.Waldonโs fearlessness is among the reasons she landed at Oh Boy Records in 2019, as the independent labelโs first new signee in 15 years. Itโs attracted fans to her headline tours and her festival sets, and prompted artists including Tyler Childers, Charley Crockett, Robert Earl Keen, Margo Price, and Lucinda Williams to invite her on tour. less the last five years the Santa Cruz, CA, band has firmly planted their flag in the hardcore scene with their vicious sound and ripping live show, sharing stages around the world with Circle Jerks, Touchรฉ Amorรฉ, and Limp Bizkit, and filling slots at prominent festivals like Coachella, Sick New World, and Reading and Leeds. But with their new album, Are We All Angels, Scowl is aiming to funnel all that aggression through a more expansive version of themselves.
The album ends in a philosophical place on the closing track, โAre We All Angels,โ asking questions like, โIs this all there is?โ and ultimately putting it on the listener to decide. โItโs about the personal struggle between good & evil. It doesnโt matter how โgoodโ or โbadโ you are, there are systems that will try to rewrite your narrative no matter what you actually do,โ explains Moss, noting that punctuation on โAre We All Angelsโ has been deliberately omitted in an attempt to leave the statement open-ended.
Arriving as a standout group in the current American shoegaze renaissance, Phoenix four-pieceย Glixenย transcend all expectations of what the genre should currently look and sound like. The band creates a profoundly heavy sonic experience with their music, paying respects to their predecessors but resulting in something completely modern. An amalgamation of influences like Bjรถrk, My Bloody Valentine, Godflesh, t.A.T.u, and Hum, their sound crawls with intensity and introspection to contrast lead singer Aislinn Ritchieโs lulling vocals.
