Rivers of Nihil is a progressive/technical death metal band from Reading, Pennsylvania, formed in 2009. They have evolved from raw death-metal roots into a more expansive, experimental sound — mixing ferocious riffs and growled vocals with progressive arrangements, atmospheric passages, and even saxophone and melodic elements — especially evident on their 2025 self-titled album.
