Nestled in the serene Red Rock hills, away from city lights, Animal Ark provides an optimal setting for stargazing. Our expert guests from Fleischmann Planetarium will guide you through an immersive experience—highlighting constellations, unveiling deep sky objects, and sharing the stories of the stars.
Bring your family and friends to marvel at celestial wonders through telescopes provided at the event. Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or just curious about the night sky, our Summer Stargazing Events promise an unforgettable evening under the stars.
Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.
Your Stargazing ticket includes daytime admission to Animal Ark on the same date.
Please note: The Stargazing event takes place in our amphitheater. The rest of the park will be closed in the evening, but our Visitor Center will be open. Come back in August for our special nighttime tours of the full park!
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life event is celebrating it's 40th year of fundraising for cancer research. Our Relay For Life of Northern Nevada will be Saturday August 16 at Idylwild Park Softball field #3. Vendor space is $50 and we ask that you stay at least 4 hours but are welcomed to stay the whole day. Please let us know what 4 hours you will attend.**If you donate a raffle prize worth about $20, your vendor space is $30**We are looking for Vendors, Food trucks and groups that would like to perform for 20 -25 minutes. Please email us at: relayforlifennv@gmail.com and we will send a contract to you.
lesss from scratch including pattern making, hand stitched embellishments, and basic sewing machine techniques to sew them all together. Participants can bring their own sewing machines from home or Holland will provide a limited amount of sewing machines available to borrow during the workshop (contact alisha@hollandreno.org to reserve a sewing machine before registering).
Registration is required for this workshop and space is limited. All skill levels welcome! Participants under 14 should be accompanied by an adult.

NB RidazNB Ridaz was a Phoenix-based hip-hop group known for their smooth Latin-infused rap and romantic lyrics, gaining popularity in the early 2000s. Originally stemming from the group Nastyboy Klick, they released hits like "So Fly" and "Runaway." Their music often blended English and Spanish, resonating with a young Latino audience across the U.S.
RBL PosseRBL Posse (Ruthless by Law) is a pioneering rap group from San Francisco’s Hunters Point neighborhood, known for their gritty, street-centered West Coast sound. Rising to prominence in the early 1990s, they released influential albums like A Lesson to Be Learned and Ruthless by Law. Despite tragic losses of founding members Mr. Cee and Hitman, their legacy continues in Bay Area hip-hop.
Natalia ChaconNatalia Chacon is an emerging artist and vocalist blending Latin, R&B, and soul influences into her music. The Terrapin Roadshow is a traveling concert series celebrating the spirit, energy, and community of Phil and Jill Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads, bringing world-class music to three of Northern California’s most scenic and intimate outdoor venues.
